2024 Season Recap

Our 2024 birch syrup season was nothing short of an adventure, filled with tree tapping, equipment upgrades, troubleshooting and the final product - delicious Alaska birch syrup.

This year, we ambitiously tapped 1,000 birch trees on new land, a significant increase from previous seasons. We also invested in new equipment - a commercial sized evaporator and an additional reverse osmosis system.

No season is without its challenges. From unexpected overnight freezing temps to equipment malfunctions, we had our fair share of obstacles. These challenges tested our patience and problem-solving skills but ultimately made our successes even sweeter.

Our family handles every aspect from tree tapping to syrup production. The lack of external help meant long hours and tireless effort, but it also brought us closer together, creating memories along the way. Involving the kids in the process teaches them the values of hard work, sustainability, and the joy of producing something tangible.

But enough about the work, let's talk about the best part—the syrup! Our 2024 harvest was our largest yet and we produced some incredibly delicious syrup. Thank you to everyone who has ordered! If you live locally, you can reach out to us directly. You can also find our syrup in several stores and coffee shops across the state, at several holiday baazars on the Kenai Peninsula this fall and of course, you can order it online! We invite you to experience the unique flavors of our birch syrup.
